"Data Security & Privacy" Spends Another Year as BARC’s #1 BI and Analytics Trend

As emerging technologies like AI and machine learning reshape the data analytics landscape, organizations must strike the right balance between tried-and-tested tools and new innovations to drive success. 

For example, “data security and privacy” was added to the Trend Monitor in 2024, where it was top-ranked against 19 other BI and analytics trends. This foundational trend maintained its number one spot for 2025, closely followed by more established focus areas like data quality management and data-driven culture.
