Depending on the version of your current TARGIT installation, one or more steps/actions may be required to upgrade to the newest version.

Upgrade Details

 

Notes:  

  • When upgrading from versions older than 2017 Update 4, we require a test server. 
  • Customers may need to do manual adjustments of some charts and objects if upgrading from 2017 update 4 and earlier. 
  • We introduced the TARGIT Canvas. Document sizes now are fixed (2019) 
  • We introduced slideshows to replace storyboards. Old storyboards will not run on new versions unless they are saved as slideshows (2019) 
  • We introduced a new app for iOS and Android. Make sure you use the correct version when connecting to your TARGIT server (2019)

  • Navigation bar (2019) 
  • Sentinels (2019) 
  • Drillpad (2019) 
  • Support for the 32-bit Windows client (2021)  
  • “Impersonation” is no longer supported, though “Effective user” still is. We have moved to HTTP communication, which brings many advantages. Please note that user credentials for "impersonation" are not saved after a user logs in, so this feature will not work (2021 Update 3) 
  • Classic Reports (2021 Update 3) 
  • Obsolete Documents (2022 Winter Update 2)
